Privacy policy

The short version: the numbers you type never leave your browser, there are no advertising cookies, and the only analytics used are anonymous and cookieless.

The numbers you enter

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. The loan amounts, incomes, rates and other figures you type are never sent to a server, never logged, and never stored anywhere by us. When you close the tab, they're gone. If you use a "copy link" button, your inputs are encoded into the web address itself, so only the people you choose to share that link with can see them.

Analytics

To understand roughly how many people use the site and which calculators are popular, MortgageMath uses Vercel Web Analytics. It is privacy-friendly by design: it uses no cookies, and it does not collect or store personal data or build a profile of you. It records anonymous, aggregated information such as page views, the type of device and the general country a visit came from. It cannot identify you, and it never sees the figures you enter into the calculators.

Cookies

MortgageMath sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Because the analytics are cookieless and nothing else needs them, there is no cookie banner to click through.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out to official resources such as Revenue, the Central Bank of Ireland, the CCPC or the First Home Scheme, and in future may link to a regulated mortgage broker. Once you follow a link to another website, that site's own privacy policy applies. If a broker referral link is ever added, it will be clearly labelled, and it will only tell the broker which calculator you came from, never the figures you entered.

The contact form

If you use the form on the contact page, the details you type there (your message, and your name and email if you provide them) are sent to us so we can read and reply. The form is handled by a third-party form service, Web3Forms, purely to deliver the message to our inbox. We use what you send only to respond to you. Please don't put sensitive financial details in the form.

Your rights

Because the calculators collect no personal data, there's normally nothing personal about you for us to hold. If you've contacted us, we'll have that message. Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you and request that it be deleted at any time, using the contact page.

This policy may be updated if the site changes. Last reviewed July 2026.
